Patrick Taylor BA (Hons)

Biography

Patrick started his classical music training on the piano at the age of 6 and trumpet at the age of 12. He has achieved Grade 8 with the ABRSM on both instruments and Grade 5 theory. In 2007 he graduated from the Open University with a BA (Hons) Degree in Humanities with Music.

Patrick is a very passionate and dedicated musician who has also performed extensively around Hampshire in various wind bands and orchestras. He has played many styles of music from classical to popular music of rock, dance, musical and film themes. He has performed at the Southampton Festival of Music and Drama and has played with the Southampton Youth Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall for the Schools Prom. In this orchestra, he also undertook a tour to Tuscany in Italy.

Patrick is CRB checked and has experience teaching adults and children. His overall aim is to provide a professional, friendly and relaxed service where lessons are fun, rewarding and worthwhile. He would like to hear from anyone with an interest in learning to play the piano or trumpet. Home visits and cheap rates are available in the Southampton and Eastleigh area.
