Philip Dust BA RNCM

In the ten years I have been teaching all my students over that time have had a 100% pass rate for ABRSM exams grades 1-8. Several of my former students are now studying to become professional players and teachers at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Birmingham Conservatoire.

I teach all brass instruments including French horn and have experience of one on one teaching, small group teaching, full class brass and conducting brass and wind bands. I was awarded a place by audition at Chethams School of Music where I studied for five years and thereafter at the Royal Northern College of Music for four years.

I am a highly motivated, passionate and experienced specialist tutor who consistently gets results and builds strong relationships with all my students and the schools in which I work. I have performed at the very top level of Brass Banding with many bands such as the Black Dyke Mills, Brighouse and Rastrick and the Carlton Maine Frickley Colliery.I have travelled to Holland, Italy and Switzerland performing as a soloist. When I was 17 I was awarded first place in the Liverpool young musician of the year award. I now work as a full time brass tutor in schools around Stockport and Warrington.
